Our constitution has a separation of Church and State, but when it comes to marriage, the line is rather muddled. I propose we draft a brand new proposition:
NO MARRIAGE FOR ANYONE, NEITHER GAY NOR STRAIGHT!
The state would replace the word "marriage" an only recognize "Domestic Partnerships" or "Civil Unions" or whatever we deem appropriate.
The definition would be the same as "Marriage Pre-Nov 4, 2008"
If a couple would like to get "married" and or embark on the Holy Sacrament of marriage, they may do so through their religious affiliate.
